I've been using CSI's Ruby Slipper since it first came out and really like it. When reading your initial post I noticed some similar experiences I've had over time. Probably the biggest thing is "darkening" when curing. Does it get a bluish hue or maybe a lead color? Probably so. Well, I don't think it's a glitter but it should melt into your paint upon curing. Try a thicker coat of paint, myself I've found much better results and consistent coloring this way. It seems Ruby Slipper, pearl white and just plain red do much better this way. The eyes won't seal when curing usually and I get a much better appearance. I know a really hot jig or double dipping is the ticket for me. Give it a shot and tell me what you think. Those "runny" fluffy colors the thinner coat is fine, but the clumpy, stickier colors as these I just think it seems like it takes more or a heavier coating. I cure about 25 min at 325* starting with a cold oven.
