    Default Spawn 24

Haven’t seen many posts around here. How was everyone’s spring season. Got any pictures?

Shenango lake has been tough since early March before all the rains started raising and muddying it. Seems to be raised or lowered every day since then. The spawn seemed non existent this year and even now the bite is not very stable. Now the pleasure boats are helping keep the lake’s shorelines pretty muddy after 9AM. The white bass and striper bite is fair but the crappie bite for me is well below average for this time of year. Hard to find clean water. I’m headed back to Ohio to fish.

I have been pulling my hair out thus season, and going thru all the possible reasons why! I'm pretty tuned in to the flow of spawn in all phases, got into sum black crappie, not caught a white since early March.covered miles of water and a ton of hours, have running conversations with self ( don't judge-lol) just couldn't figure this out this year! Smitty just affirmed the only possible conclusion.
