Addicted, I have fished it all year, spring is good, nice campground there but not much shade, It sounds like you like the spring, good time all areas are good then fishing pier is right on the creek channel fish out by the end of it, minnows and a bobber with rope and lantern, take a five gallon bucket, take lid cut a slot 2 by 8” in it to put fish in , to many nosey people on pier. Now spillway main road is on west side of dam go about 1 mile past park gate turn right on road 1/4mile turn right again going south pass thru trailer court on left you will see sewage plant turn on that road park by there entrance you will see spillway, walk past plant and down across the field to spillway, fish spillway and backwaters on other side of spillway, very good in spring. Also under bridge, fish the road side creek channel on that side, Howard side not as good. Good luck, if you need more info please let me know
