Only had 1 bite and a bass off medium size minnows. Headed down next Wednesday and then again on the following Sunday, Monday. Going to try to locate some structure and pick them off. Any advice would be appreciated in regards to the structure fishing, am I thinking correctly? Should I keep my same tactics?
Keep the same strategy but look for new spots. Chances are, at this time of the year, you’re not the only one fishing the spots you’re on now. The fish don’t get time to bunch back up when the spot gets hit two or three times every day by different techniques. Use your electronics to find spots out of the ordinary places you see boats bunched up. Watch your finder as you move from one spot to your next in that area. Go on different trail lines, if you don’t erase them daily. Mark all the bottom changes on your gps as you go over them. Come back and take a closer look. I have at least fifty waypoints on the south end of Pymatuning. I fish the out of the way ones first. I’ve actually got limits off them in less than two hours some days. Find new spots, Mark them, and fish them hard.
