    Thumbs up Iowa Scouting Trip

I and my wife Loraine slipped over to south Iowa scouting out some previously unfished lakes.
I can't reveal the lake names because they are quickly overfished in the midwest when the word gets out. There are lots of fine lakes in this area.
We did take some pictures at one of the little lakes that were productive.
It turned out to be a very relaxed couple days before the rippin wind sent us back home. lol
I realize these fish are not large by some of your standards, but they were a blast for us and made for an enjoyable trip.
It was also challanging in the float tube in rippin wind. lol ole Mike

    Question Size???

I'm not sure what the size was just enjoyed how they put a good tug on my 8 1/2' UL Hybrid spinning rod that BigDaddyRods made up for me . 3wt. fly blank with a dozen spinning eyes. Just a hoot to fish gills with.
I understand that trolling for gators in a float tube. lol lol I don't want to be the BAIT.lol

Great catching, I wouldn't name the lakes, either!

    Waders....sissies.

Just kidding, I've fished from a tube for years and years and years... Always disliked getting into the waders for them early season waters. Ain't nothing better on a 85 day than sliding into the tube in a pair of shorts.

Nice catching, looks like a lot of fun.

    Thumbs up

I sure like my sissified waders:D lol. I also agree when the water gets warmer, old jean shorts are the ticket.
I bought a pair of neoprene bootfoot for the REAL cold water. They are warm, but clumsey to move in. Wore them ony twice. Now that I am used to them, still hate them. I can live with these breathables for early season.lol
Fishhawk-- All the Muscatine pits are no tresspassing now, Geode has Yellow Bass infestation. All the good action is moving somewhat westerly. ole Mike
