    Thanks for all the nice comments! I caught him and another one about a couple inches smaller from my canoe. He pulled me around a bit as I was driftin and not anchored (just as well as he would probably have headed straight for the anchor rope to hang me up). I couldn't get a single Gill, Crappie, or Cracker to bite with him and his mate hangin around the area. They were the only 2 bites I got the whole day.

    I have heard there is a way to filet them. I catch them occasionally here in Arkansas and cut across them about 3/4 to 1 inch. Still had to put up with bones but, they are very tasty.
