    No baitcasting, like you use for bass fishing. I do have a spincast also but it has a 5'.6'' rod and it does cast well but not as far as the longer rod. If I had a long spincast it would cast better. Rod length is the key. I've been using these type rods and reels for more than 35 yrs.
