    the berkley power wigglers work great,, they look just like a waxworm and the fish love them, at least around here they do. they are one of our number one baits for gills and specks. have tried the maggots in the jar and do not do well with those at all compared to the power wigglers in the resealable bag. we rig two of them on a 1/64 oz chartreuse jig, usually with no bobber. if that does not work the eagle claw nitro trailers work amazingly. kind of funny though because the crappies around here are not real fond of worms but when you put about one half of the nitro trailer on a 1/64 oz orange jig and real it fairly slow they have a hard time passing it up.. this is our number one rig this year. when it is coming through the water it actually looks like a minnow, which is why i think the specks really like it . we have tried using the whole nitro trailer but they seem to not want it or they will short strike the end of it
