A friend of mine climbed into a duck blind during a storm, said there were 3 or 4 snakes inside.Couldn't say for sure what kind, as he said he took his chances with the storm instead.:

Oh yea I know what you mean. I literaly heard one run on the side of a tree after I saw it. That thing looked as big as a trantula it was so big it scared the crap out of me. It was way bigger than my hand. And when it moved you could hear it on the tree. Now I can do without that. I don't kill them either because I know they are good to have for the bugs and such but let me tell ya I don't want one one me or even close to me.
I know spiders and what kinds they are I just don't like them on me. They give me the GEEBS bad.

I just wanted to tell ALL how much I enjoyed this thread!
I really believe them yanks really do ask for all the heck they get now !
I lost it at :" I was all worried about the stumps and damaging my new boat but now you tell me there will be coppermouths! ! !"
Ya know a 20 gauge with a full choke and a load of #8's does wonders on a cottonmouth especially when it is balled up in a wad:D:D
I knew there was a reason I live in Wisconsin!! All the tales of
snakes and especially spiders make shoveling snow not seem to
bad!! And of course we have bratwurst, cheese, fish and if that
weren't enough we damn sure got beer to wash it done!!!!

Does anyone know if they're really cottonmouths in the other end of the state--East TN? I've never seen one in Watts Bar, Ft. Loudon, Melton Hill, or Norris Lakes.
