Vados sells them, but they are seasonal:

I'm sure they're good, but I'll stick with maggots.

funny but you can find them at pet shops every now and then. I get them every once in a while from a local pet shop. They sell them as glass or ghost shrimp. usually $4-$5 per 100 of them, no sizing though, you get what comes out of the tank. Cool thing is, if you don't use them all fishing, you can put them in the aquarium back at your house...

They should be native to your area and you can catch them yourself using a long handled shrimp net / dip net. Rake it along some vegetation in shallow water. They're really small as far as shrimp go. Some people call them "scuds".
They look just like any other shrimp, only much smaller and colorless or clear.

Asian grocery store sells jarred shrimp that are pre-salted and about the size of the shrimp that grow in the lakes. I've fished with live fresh water shrimp caught in the cast-net, but they are jumpers and will jump right out of whatever container you have. I'm optimistic with the jarred shrimp, I just bought some and will try it soon.

I used to use em for bait must of the time when I lived in FL. You couldn't beat em for live bait for bream or crappie. Just rake em right out the weeds. I didn't think they were here in north Ga., but now I'm gonna start lookin for em. We used to put em on wet news paper and fold the paper over top of em and add some ice to em from time to time. This would keep em live all day and were easy to grab and you wouldn't have em hoppin around all over the boat.

in louisiana we call that a grass shrimp. We drip them out of the grass in the ditchs. Very killer bait for gills and crappie.
