Probably the size of a 2 year old Crappie. It was a Bullgill. The year was 1963. I was 30 years old and threw it back to make more babies. I was in Wichita Kansas. Now I wish I had mounted that rascal.

My biggest gill was back when I was 18 years old and it was 1 lb. 7 oz. caught on a hellgramite down in VA's Briery Creek.
But here is one I caught a week ago, up here in NY.
I've not broke the 11" mark up here in NY but plenty over the 9" mark. :D

My biggest is 1 Lb 14 oz I have caught a few this size and have tried to break 2LBs but hadn`t yet.

I have one on the wall that was 12 1/2 " and 2lbs.This weight was after beng in a bucket all night. Caught about 30 yrs ago in a private pond on a bomber lure fishing for bass.
