    Default Micro Jig Spinner

With the recent posts about 1/64 beetles, it got me to thinking .
A 1/32 Beetle spin used to be one of my go to gill lures .
Most of the time I replaced the beetle with a curlytail .

I decided to tie up some jigs to put on a size 0 Betts jig spinner to crest a micro jig spinner .
I used a size 10 Eagle Claw Lil Nasty sickle style jig hook , a 4mm tungsten bead wig a chenille body and silicone legs .
This one is Junebug colored .
I took a few down to the docks , mainly to test the casting when it’s windy and see how they ran during a slow retrieve.

The wind was 12-25mph and the little jig spinner was a dream to cast compared to trying to cast a .5g jig even with 3# Floroclear line . Distance was good too .

I had several bumps but only caught this one little gill . I hooked a small bass that threw the hook as I was lifting it . An UL fun size bass that put a nice bend in my 5’ Major Craft Aji do Ajing rod .
I’ll be trying out a few tomorrow during my weekly meetup fishing trip . The wind is supposed to be better , but still 5-10 mph with gusts to 18 .
