Default After our first cold front

We had our first real cold front this week .
Today was the warmest in a few days @ 62 and sunny ,while I was fishing , with an occasional gusty wind.

I started off at the mill creek . The water was still a little high and fast .
Fishing with a 1/64 tungsten bead jig I caught two small redbreast in about thirty five minutes. I lost two jigs on underwater snags . Including my leader .
After losing my Floroclear leader , I didn’t get another bite..

I packed up and drove to our town pond , stopping by the house and swapping out rods .
At the pond I float fished mainly because of the wind had gotten up making twitching tough .
I had two short bites that pulled the float under , but they must have nibbled on the tail .
I switched to a mini trout magnet on a size 10 sickle hook jig and after several casts , I finally hooked up with a fun size shellcracker.
Both combos were 4.5’-5’ Major craft Finetail glass travel rods , the first rod was paired with a Daiwa Legalis lt 1000s , the other was a Daiwa Fuego lt 1000d . Both with Daiwa J-braid .
The fish felt cold with the lows getting down into the thirties lately .
Slowing down the fishing . This time of year , I take whatever is willing to bite.
Supposed to warm back up around seventy tomorrow, before the next front .
