    Default Evening Pond Trip

I’d planned on fishing the creek this morning, but because of a kitchen faucet failure , I missed my trip waiting for the orange building supply to call me back . They never called .
Guess it’s time to transfer my business with the blue one .

After lunch I decided on a quick late afternoon trip , for a change , to the town pond .
I left at four and was home at 5:05 .
    I grabbed a rod I hadn’t fished in a while , my Daiwa Ajing Tsukiza Beauty 55-UL-s , paired with a Carbon X 1000s reel and Daiwa gray J-braid .
I used a 1/64 , 4mm tungsten jighead with a Mini Trout Magnet plastic bait , adjusting my technique by using a smaller profile bait for the colder water temps .
In the forty five minutes, I fished I caught eight fish , 4 bluegills , 2 shellcracker, and 2 small bass .
Three fish were caught using a float , the rest , twitching .
Rain with a cold front due overnight that will bring the coldest temps since last winter .
Low 20’s by next mid week .

Good job. Yeah I’m not looking forward to the cold headed our way. Time to get my jacket out of the closet.
