    I know the one on the left is what we call a pumpkinseed. That dark speckled one on the right looks like a baby rockbass but no redeyes or baby warmouth/green sunfish but no blue/green on his gills? What is it?

    left fish was we call a longear sunfish and the right fish was what we call a warmouth , warmouth are not rock bass , many folks confuse them , pumpkin seeds are much the same and people often call the longear here , pumpkinseeds ....
    I have never seen a true pumpkinseed or rock bass in Texas , but we have some fish that for sure look similar
