Thread: Perfect day

A couple of days ago I went out after some gills. Bite was on until one gill got eaten by a big bass and wouldn't let go . Had it on for a couple minutes and just when I thought I might actually land it, it let go. Bluegill had some serious damage but swam off. Yesterday forecast was hot so I got out early to do some bass fishing. Pretty breezy early so focused around dock area with brush scattered. Started with a slider head finesse worm combo and skunk was off on the third cast. Crazy bass jumped five times before I lipped her. Didn't get another bite for over an hour but from 8 to 9 the bites picked up. Finished the morning with 7 bites and caught all of them, a rarity for me. Sizes ranged from a little over a lb, two biggest were over 3lbs. Great day fishing 5 minutes from home at a city park lake.
