Default Short trip with short rod

Having to get gas after dropping my wife off for PT cut into my fishing time as I headed for the boat docks at the local reservoir about ten minutes away .
Actual fishing time was a little over 30 minutes.
I took one rod , ready to fish . With a .5g streamer jig , size 12 hook with a black Bobby Garland itty bit Swim’r .
My 5’ , black , older model , St Croix Triumph UL moderate action paired up with a Carbon X 500 , spools with Daiwa J Braid and Floroclear leader .
I landed seven fish , including five bluegill and a couple bass .
I’m glad I had the braid and 4# Floroclear leader because three of the fish ran under the dock wrapping around a post . I’m sure my 2# Floroclear would have parted .
The super light combo, 5.1oz reel and 2.1oz for the rod , 7.2oz total fished great . I enjoy fishing the moderate action five footers by St Croix . Fun fishing !
The Piscifun Carbon X performed great . Great inexpensive UL reel .
Wish I’d had a little longer to fish today !
