Mainly fly fishing trip

Arrived at Lake McIntosh this morning around eleven, it’s overcast , a little windy , but the biggest issue was , people.
One spot was open on the left side of the dock . I counted thirteen people fishing from where I was casting . The most I’ve seen there before .
I caught two small gills and a small shellcracker before a teenager tossed a large bass bait over the small little spot where I’d just caught my shellcracker.
Time to go try to find a spot without so many people.
I drove to my creek spot at the old mill , about ten minutes away .
When I got there , there was only a single car , but I didn’t see anyone around. Later I found a small 10” bass on a stringer tied to a log . Never saw anyone around the creek area .
I got to casting my 6’ St Croix Imperial flyrod with a Redington Zero reel .
I caught a couple of redbreast before moving close to the dam .
There’s a small pool on the left side of the dam where I caught six fish , four or five species, out of that tiny pool .
I caught redbreast , bass, bluegills, a small shellcracker, and an unidentified, cool looking fish .
This is the same pool where I’ve caught spotted sunfish out of before , but this one looks more like a flier . But I’ve never caught fliers this far north .
I love fishing the creek , I’m always amazed at the colors of the creek fish .
I also took my newest rod , a second 4’10” Major Craft Glass paired with a Shimano Soare XR500spg and 2# Floroclear.
I took the spinner to see if I could cast the same streamer I was casting on the flyrod . A size 12 Mustad with a tiny 3mm Tungsten bead .
Even with the light weight jig I was able to cast 15-20’ , enough to catch three more fish before heading home about 1:30 .
I’m going to post the strange fish in a post after this , so if anyone knows what it is , let me know .
