Shakespeare flyfishing combo?
They have a really cheap flyfishing combo at Wally World- is it at least worth the 20.00 bucks just to see if I like the sport? Do you guys think it is at least worth trying for so cheap? It would be a shame if I spent a few hundred bucks and didn't care for fly fishing all that much...

You can do MUCH better for just a little more money. Bass Pro has their Hobbs Creek outfits on sale for less than $100. I have one and would definitely recommend it. Cabela's Three Forks combos are also a good bet.
The only outfit I would even consider at Wal-mart would be a Scientific Anglers combo. You can usually get them for $50-$60, and they've very good for the money.
The fly line you would get with a $20 outfit would be garbage.

Shakespeare couldn't pay me to take that fly combo if that gives you any idea of what I think about it. I think you would be very disappointed with it. I saw a Martin fly combo in K-Mart the other day and I'm not very thrilled with that one either. Martin used to put out some decent fly combos but I don't like the new ones. I think you would be better off with a Scientific Anglers fly combo when you can find one as I have not seen a bad one by SA yet.
Looks like you read my mind, Kevin. :D Kooky birds of a feather flock together.

Robert, I knew I could count on you!
nralover,
Try this:

Or this:

The Bass Pro outfit is prettier, but I can't say that is casts better than the SA combo.
