    Default Town Pond……. Again !

I fish about an hour later today . Got there around three , left around five .
During that two hours I had sun , clouds , then a sprinkle that turned into a drizzle.
I had competition today also . A guy was sitting on a stool beside the bridge and the same guy with his son was on the dam .
I went over to the dam side and got about thirty yards from from that guy .
I caught three quick medium size bluegills and then the bite just stopped.
I managed to catch a couple of small largemouths and then tried a jig n float without any luck .
I was using a St Croix Triumph, 6’6” light rod paired with a Daiwa Legalis LT 2000s loaded with 6# Daiwa X8 Grand braid , with a Floroclear leader . I used an olive hand tied jig .
After the guy left at the bridge I swapped spots and rods to a 6’ St Croix Avid Panfish rod paired with a Shimano Sahara 500 loaded with 2# Floroclear and continued with the jig n float .
The bridge bite was none . So I went back over to the dam to finish up and caught another gill and a shellcracker.
Tough day on the pond . At least the wind wasn’t a factor today .
    Finished with seven total .
I liked fishing the Daiwa Legalis over the Sahara. After a short time fishing the Sahara, it start to bind up on me for no reason .
I don’t understand how a reel can be smooth at home but then it take more power to turn the handle while fishing .
I think I’m done with sub $100 Shimanos . The Daiwas are just more consistently smoother.
