Dropped the wife off at aquatic therapy and drove back to the town pond today around noon .
Temp was mid 70’s with a 8mph wind , gusts to 16 .
Went light with one rod , a flybox of jigs , that I didn’t use , snips and hemostats.
And my towel . I always carry a towel to wipe to slim off my hands .
I fished for about thirty five minutes, hooked five , landed four .
The one I lost , after a good battle, looked like a nice shellcracker.
Of the four landed , three were shellcracker, one nice bluegill.
Lure was a size 8 jig hook , tungsten bead, black jig .
The durability of hand tied jigs is unbelievable.
If you don’t hang up and lose it , you can fish all day with the same jig .
All of the fish were nice , bigger than my Shimano Nasci 500 reel , on an Abu Garcia MB3L rod .
