Being a bank fisherman 90%+ of the time .
I got my boat out three times last year.
I try to minimize my tackle I carry to the water .
I was using an over the shoulder bag and the bag on my stool I carry most of the time .
Then I went to a smaller waist pack , that is carried over a shoulder because being old , I have no rear end to hold up a Fanny pack .
Sometimes I’ll just throw a few things in my fishing stool and do without a bag .
Lately , if it’s going to be a short trip , I just carry a flybox of jigs , line snips , hemostats, and a towel . Flybox goes in a shirt or shorts pocket , the rest clips on me somewhere.
I have a bad habit of finding a lure that’s hot , acquiring a lot of the colors I like and getting stuck on that particular lure until one day , it’s like someone turned a switch and that lure is no longer my go to lure .
Right now it’s my hand tied jigs/flies . Not the thousands I already tied over the years , they have to be tied on either a streamer hook or a particular jig hook with a tungsten bead . I’ve accumulated a lot of tackle and lures over the years .
