Thread: Creek was up

I went to the town pond first this morning and after about twenty minutes of being skunked and noticing somebody was having some kind of kid function at the park , I decided it was time for me to go ! Even though I would only have about an hour to fish , I headed to the mill creek .

Upon arrival, the area was empty of folks and the water was up , almost to normal flow .

I took two oldies with me this morning, a couple of 5’ St Croix Triumph ULM rods . One , my first St Croix rod was one of the original Triumphs , back when they were made in China .
The other was a black Triumph but a newer version made in St Croix’s factory in Mexico

The water may have been up , but the fish hadn’t moved up stream yet . It was down right stingy .

I caught one small bluegills and two pretty redbreast to keep the skunk off using jigs and a jig spinner on the larger redbreast.
