Neither did I Bob . But it’s growing on me as I experiment with it .
Skeet , As I read more , the ease of changing leaders on the longer rods is part of the method of controlling casting and accuracy.
With a longer rod you can just drop a fly in the area you think holds a fish.
Kind of reminds me of jigging for crappie . But I’ll be using a shorter rod and using it as a flyrod .
I’m thinking this maybe the perfect rig for chasing green sunfish in the riprap around boat ramps .
Some of these rods only weigh a little over an ounce .
Something new to play with .
