I went chasing green sunfish this morning, meeting my fishing buddy there .
Before he arrived I tried a size 10 woolybooger at the boat ramp .
Caught a bluegill , released him and on my next cast , hooked into what turned out to be a spotted bass and the fight was on .
I was using my 6’1” 1 1/2 wt fiberglass rod . What a blast fighting that spot on that little rod .
Must be bass week for me .
I want some more.
My buddy caught forty total , bluegill and green sunfish, mostly small ones .
I ended up with twenty five gills and greenies .
No real big greenies today , but some very colorful ones .
