Default Four Species on the 1wt .

Fished lake McIntosh this morning. A 650 acre water reservoir located near me .
It’s the closest water where I can catch green sunfish on a regular basis .
When I got there I noticed the water level was down . That’s not good . Half the riprap was exposed . The rocks are where the greenies live .
I fished my Butterstick one weight, first with a 2wt line , but switched to a 3wt to load the rod for casting the short distances I fish . Made a huge difference, especially in my roll casts .
I could roll cast from 10-30 feet with just a flick of the wrist .
I started off with a size 14 black spider with yellow/black legs , but switched to a red size 14 with white/black legs . The little gills loved the red one .
The species caught included bluegill, green sunfish, one warmouth, and what I thought was a redbreast , but think it maybe an orange spotted sunfish .
    Caught 17 in 1 1/2 hours .
Micro fishing may not be for everyone, but with the right tackle , I find it enjoyable.
I even sight fish some I catch . To see a fish and target it , then catch it , is like spot and stalk hunting .
