Default Always have a plan B

I was back at the town pond this morning armed with a 6’6” light rod ( St Croix Premier) paired with a Carbon X 1000S , loaded with four pound test P-line . And my fishing stool .
My fishing bag had four fly boxes filled with micro jigs and a few weighted floats .
Figured after yesterday, that would be all I needed .
Fished for almost an hour without a nibble .
Dug around in my fly boxes and found a 1/32 jig I tied in a black woolybooger pattern .
I was able to make about 50-60 feet casts without any float .
Finally , as I was about to give up , I got a little tap , but missed the hookup . I threw back in and caught a little largemouth to get the skunk off .
On the next cast , I hooked up a nice looking bluegill.
I thought I had figured them out .
Not another bite in twenty minutes .
Wished I had some small plastics to try . I think they may have worked .
Next trip I’ll have some with me .
