    I saw some fish down 25' near sunken timber once on LS, thought they were crappie. They would follow, but only nip my jig. Sent down a wiggler on a jig POW. Big bluegill on. I proceeded to sore-lip a bunch of big gills. That was a good day, but hard to duplicate since. It is fun when it happens.

    Good example of trying different techniques to figure out another piece to the puzzle. I haven’t tried it yet but a drop shot rig is a good deep water approach. I also like taking a beetle spin and counting down before beginning the retrieve. They’re pretty weedless and cheap if you happen to lose one. Good luck with it.
