Thread: Riding the storm out .

Couldn’t go fishing this morning.
I had to take my wife to the surgeon for her six week checkup.
BTW , she’s off the neck brace and off off the 5-10# lifting restrictions. We’re both happy and relieved .
I was able to get away around four this afternoon.
Weather was cloudy and when I was walking from my vehicle to the pond , I could hear Thunder in the distance.
I knew I wouldn’t have long .
I was throwing a float n fly with a spider fly under a 3/4” snap on weighted bobber , on my 5’ Defy Silver rod with a Carbon X 1000 reel and 4# Original P-line .
I was able to catch two gills before the first drops of rain started falling . I barely made it back to my vehicle before the heavy rain started .
Got to fish about 20-25 minutes .
Enough to scratch the itch for today
