    Default Sunday 3-20-22 Town Pond

Since it’s a weekend day , Sunday 03-20-22 , the plan was to fish this morning to try to avoid the crowds that usually show up after lunchtime.
Woke up to low forties temps.
Left the house at 11:30 and had decided to give soft plastics a try for awhile.
Fished a Bobby Garland Itty bit on a drop shot for several casts without a nibble , switched to a shortened Slider grub on a 1/32 jighead for another 15-20 minutes without any results .
Switched over to a spider fly on the drop shot and caught my first gill on the third cast.
The gusty wind , along with the geese and turtles made casting and fishing tough . Three times my line got blown onto the bridge and I had to go untangle it .
The geese and turtles were swarming around the area because they were being fed by the walkers . .
By the time I gave up fighting the elements, I’d fished almost an hour and a half , and caught three gills , and had two come unhooked halfway in .
One was a nice one .
    Combo was 5’4” SC Panfish , Daiwa Legalis LT 1000 , 2# P-Line .
Looking forward to tomorrow. Less people, and hopefully less wind .
