Prime bank fishing areas are dwindling in certain areas and states. Access to such areas here in Florida have severely diminished during my lifetime. When starting youngsters in the sport of fishing I always prefer bank fishing, it allows room for them burn off energy during lapses in fishing action or their attention. Usually much safer for many reasons (i.e. landing a fish, learning to cast, etc.). I love to fish and availability and circumstances tend to dictate the method.
