We’ve had showers off and on for 3-4 days now . Each day cooling off a little from the 70’s .
Today it was 57 degrees when the rain took a break around 4 o’clock . An hour and a half of daylight remained .
I grabbed my two piece 6’ St. Croix Panfish paired with a Shimano Sahara spooled with 2# Moss Green P-Line .
The water was way up at the town pond and stained .
I started off with a 1/64th black/chartreuse woolybooger jig . I fished it with and without a float .
A couple short light hits was I got for the first half .
I had something try to grab my jig as I pulled it out of the water once . Surprised me , as cool it was .
It was when I added a 1/80th woolybooger jig about 10-12” above the other jig , I finally caught my first fish . Actually my first catch of 2022 was a double . Two small yearling bass . I’m not picky , especially this time of the year.
Wound up catching four yearling bass and a small shellcracker hybrid . I don’t know where the bluegills were hiding .
