Hit a lake on the gamelands the other day and was surprised at how much skim ice was there. Drop shot weight would sink, but rest of line would just lay on top the skim ice, so no fishing that day. Today was warmer and tried another strip pit lake on the gamelands midday. No ice but very windy and rain was threatening. Before the small lakes ice over here, I wanted to try out these baits I had cut down from larger Elaztech baits. Was wondering if anyone has tried cutting any of these down for panfish and how they had worked out? Some good videos online on this subject and thought it worth looking into. Soft, pliable yet very durable & most of all is the lifelike action this stuff has. Cuts easily and locks solid on collarless jig heads with a little superglue. Harder to thread on than regular plastics and cannot be stored mixed with regular plastics. Rigged 4' below a 2 1/2" mini shy bite float landed a small LMB, 2 OK crappie and 1/2 dz. small crappies. Was trying to get into some gills, but the rain drove me out. I bought a similar product in a panfish size stinger on Amazon before, however, no longer available . Looking forward to trying these next year.Name: DSC01512.jpg
