I definitely agree a fly and bobber is a grest bait in any water temp...but I did skunk recently with it last weekend...!
That’s why it’s called fishing instead of catching .
I spent a couple of years fishing 1/80 and 1/100 size jigs under a weighted float . Was a dependable technique until I started back fishing this fall and got skunked several times and had to shelve it and go to other past techniques that had worked in the past .
I’m guilty of getting hung up on one technique and being too stubborn to switch.
