    Default Proud Daddy Moment

I took my oldest boy bluegill fishing a few weeks ago. I've finally got him to the point where he's able to bait his own hooks & he does a pretty good job of catching his own fish. He still hasn't mastered taking them off the hook yet, but we're working on that.
Below are the "steps" we had to take to get putting a worm on solo, and the end result was a success!

That gave me a nice smile today. Thanks for sharing.

He's a smart boy, and so is his Dad.

He's been doing really well this year. So well in fact we went out last night and upgraded his pole. I'm sure you've already guessed what he got, the best beginner pole a boy can get - Zebco 202!
I can still remember my first 202 my dad got me when I was a boy.

Great job harpenter. Keep up the good work. Oh if only more men would be as interested in their kids....This world would be a better place.
    Birddog,

I pray that I may live to fish until my dying day. And when it comes to my last cast I then most humbly pray. When in the Lord's great landing net and peacefully asleep. That in His mercy I be judged, BIG ENOUGH TO KEEP.

reminded me of proud moments when i taught my sons a long time ago now they always go fishing and keeps them off the streets and out of trouble
they wuold rather to to a marina and fish off the bank at night around the lights than run the streets now.
way to go for any father that spends time with their children and teach them to fish.
