Good luck on getting back out. I’m with you on the heat, after a certain point, it’s not enjoyable at all. I added this seat cushion to my canoe this year and it’s made a ton of difference in comfort. I’m sure there are others that will work, but after trying several different cushions, this has become a must have. I got the firm model. It’s breathable, comfortable, and makes a several hour outing possible.

I understand the health side of things. I used to fish all day, but now three to four hours is about all I can take. After sitting, and standing some, my back and shoulders hurt so bad I can’t take it.
I may try one of those millennial sits, just haven’t gotten around to it. Let us know how it works out for you.

Gillchaser, I don't know how tall you are but when you try that seat, try to move the seat up or down so that your feet sit flat on the deck and your thighs are parallel to the deck. This will help take pressure off your back and legs. I'm 5' 6'' and it helps my back and legs. I can tell within a hour if I didn't set it up the right way. Hope it helps.

That is part of the problem, I am also 5’6” and with the current seat in my boat I can’t comfortably touch the floor and there is no adjustment on the seat pole.

It does seem to be easier on the back

Made it to the lake today !
I didn’t load the boat with fish , but it was a beautiful afternoon and I really enjoyed myself .
The new Millennium boat seat worked great as did my compression socks .
I was able to fish 3 1/2 hours .
I caught four small LM bass and only one small redbreast . I don’t know where the bluegills were hiding .
My fishing buddy caught two small bluegills and three small LM’s .
I did hook something that pulled drag and made a nice attempt at jumping only to wrap me on an underwater limb and break me off .
Jig and spinner was my bait of choice , with a Roostertail doing duty for my friend .
I was able to launch my boat myself and load it back up when came back in .
Can’t wait to go again .
Oh almost forgot ……… Kaboom ! 🤣
