Thread: Turtles UP - Fish DOWN

Walked into the small lake today and the painted turtles were soakin up some rays. Carried in a extra rod (fly rod) hoping that some gills might be on top or in the shallow water. Aquatic vegetation receding quite a bit now with the weather changing. Tried for awhile and decided that wasn't gonna work today. Caught a dozen or so, all deep, using various small spoons with either a panfish stinger or 1" tube trailer. No fish were visible from shore and I imagine temps. were more to their liking down lower today. Here's a few pics, thanks for lookin.
