Panhandle Pans

Blue skies and nice temps. at this small public land lake in the northern panhandle of West Virginia today. About a 20 minute walk in from the parking area and not mowed during spring and summer. Only other visitor spotted was this whitetail that came down the back of the left bank for a drink. Have fished this lake a few times and have not got into any real good size fish as of yet. Have run into a few people fishing on previous trips and I wonder how many fish are taken out. The water is stained but thought by going down today I might see some spawning activity in shallows but nothing going on. Still, a nice place to wet a line and not a lot of trash thrown about which is a big plus.
