I have been wondering what's going on with this lake and I think it has to do with grass carp. There are no visible aquatic plants at all and the water has bad clarity. These carp are huge and have probably been in there a long time. Without the aquatic vegetation not good for a bass/bream lake. And fish do not appear to be abundant as far as a reason for stunting. This land was previously a commercial orchard and is now a WMA. Managed for pheasants and I don't think they do anything for this lake except keeping the beavers from clogging drainage pipes. I'll have to try to talk to a officer or land mgt. employee down there.
