Thread: The mighty ant..

Whenever using spinning gear, I use micro swivels about 2-3 foot above lures to prevent line twist. In clear water I noticed gills chasing those tiny swivels which look a lot like a tiny ant. So, today I tried some tiny black ant flies and wasn't surprised when they hit them hard. Also, this lake has lots of downed wood along the banks and lots of ants.
But, before I left, just had to tie on a little popper to grab a few on top! One of those days when it's hard to leave.
