Drop shot for bedding bream
If you were going to do kind of a drop shot setup, how far would you put the lead weight below the jig? (For bedding bream.) I was thinking of tying the jig on with a loop knot and then the split shot below that.
I, typically, fish bedding bream uber slow; I envision it kind of a slow drag across the bottom with a few stops along the way. But my brother fishes a little faster with his retrieve speed and he catches them, too. But I think slower catches more. I will test it!
Back when I used live bait, I'd put a split shot on to take the cricket to the bottom. Bedding bream usually are going to hit it pretty quick if they gonna bite.
