The best cricket cage ever. If you know anybody that fools around with bees or a bee keeper supply house youve got it made. When they order bees, they come in a wood box about 12"long x 5"wide x 8"tall.The wood frame is covered with a fine black wire mesh. Take the cage and cut a hole in the top wood part the same size as the plastic ring on a plano cricket cage and then rod the ring off the plano and use it on your bee cage and wa la!! The best cricket cage you ever used and will last a lifetime. You can put 3 or 4 hundred at a time and if kept out of the sun will last a coulpe of weeks with a few apple wedges every 2 days or so thrown in.If you want to water them, take some sort of plastic lid [gatoraide lid works good] and put a little pea gravel in it,fill with water, and your good to go.Hope this helps.:D
I don't use crickets anymore, but when I did, I liked the open top "reach in" type of cage. I thought they were much easier to use.
Put them in a 5 gallon plastic bucket. It's the best way there is to handle crickets.

Personally, I like the reach in type, usually red top and bottom with mesh around it.
But I did find an interesting website for those that may want to start raising their own crickets. Here is the link.

You can't fish with a hung line!
Cool idea "flytyfish"!! Thanks.I was just thinking of the "old" kind with the cork at the end.
