Thanks.
Yesterday was almost a bust but found some nice fish at 3pm - including a 12" plus crappie! The curl tail grub at top when jigged off the bottom in 7' started the strikes of the eight crappie caught. But then I felt light strikes - fish nipping the tail. Time to downsize and go to a 1/32 oz jig.

I cut the above stick in half and started catching small sunfish.

Leaving the hotspot, I worked shoreline areas with the below clear tail composite and caught five nice 9" perch and a small bass. When I say small, I mean VERY small:

Unfortunately a pickerel that I almost got into the boat cut the line and no more lure. But one thing that I found earlier that would have prevented the cut line was using a short thin wire leader attached to each size jig head. It didn't affect lure action and fish struck like it wasn't there.
