All is new again with a silver lining.

Got my replacement top section in from Chris at Finesse Fishing, excellent service provider by the way, can’t ask for a better person to deal with.

    New tip section is perfect.

The silver lining is that I was able to cleanly break the tip the rest of the way off right at the next guide down from the fracture and play with it a bit of the rod, it still has great action, albeit quite a bit more power in place now. Will make an excellent light lime jig n eel/jig n worm rod, so now my 63 Luna has two lives to live: one as a sweet little 6 foot 3 UL/XF gill getter and another as a light line white/black bass 5 foot 10 rod. Will be ordering a proper tip top for this section and removing the foot guide that’s at the tip now.

Alls well that ends well, minus the $150 for the new tip section.

I would only use ferrule glue. If you use anything else and want to remove it for some reason it might not come off with other glues and epoxies.

Hot melt glue from any hardware store works, too.

I’ve always wondered what difference between hot melt glue and fertile glue is.

I might just try it out, I have some really awesome gorilla glue sticks.
