    Default Pushing the envelope...continue!

Hello folks, just want to share an unofficial unboxing (in picture only) if you will of my first “true” high-end UL rod and as always I know i might be in wrong section but it’s actually a continuation of many conversations in this panfish sub- forum started by other member posting the rod specifications that led me here. Many have asked what is the best rod for the money (under $500) and many have received the answers including me. With that information and my constant pursuit of the perfect UL money can buy I decided this Tict Ice Cube....a cult classic and favorite among many members here. So without hesitation enjoy the pictures and please chime in if you own this rod or intend to own one someday!

The Teton is the closest high end rod I have for comparison: it’s got Fuji components. And the jig/fly is #16. Now those all crazy small micro guides!

Hi, VCM I have no doubt it's a nice rod it's just simply well put together holding in hand. And if the Abu Eradicator is better, I don't want to hear about...wait, that's the wife talking lol. Of course I'd love to know. Thanks again all for chiming in and give me reading materials while escaping this valley heat wave!!!

It looks good. What was the price of it? Also I love the cork on the Teton. Haven't seen anything like it.

Just in case I missed the question, the Tict Rockin finesse $238 plus change (exchange rate) shipped and Teton $67 4 years ago! I don’t know if still available old style but new and improved are on Aliexpress site. Thanks

Hi all for those who own or want to own this very highly regarded UL rod from Tict Japan and also a Russian favorite, I’m only doing this experiment as to show its action not pushing arguments over which better...just different! God knows the Rockin finesse blow the other rod out of the water just in build quality itself...lol. Lots of anglers would say action or stiffness of a rod must be felt, true but I love the visual part especially while fighting fish you can’t see what part of your rod is bending unless dead lift a fish! Might I remind everyone that the Tict is a $300 plus rod retail, with a 0.7mm in tip diameter. In comparison the Teton’s tip section is 1.0mm, so to dead lift anything out of the water cause for concern! So here it is: the Ice Cube Rockin finesse against my fastest action UL rod to date....
