Hi Arthur, the Teton is awesome rod I used mine for several years without issues, congrats! Though I hope you bought the spinning version for it a much lighter rod.

Thanks LV. The newbie was taught by her father that lures do catch fish - just not the right lure for conditions (bright sunny afternoon, no weeds for fish to ambush the Torpedo). I had to admire her persistence and concentration and wish I had a mentor, though brief, to show me a few things decades ago.

When it comes to stolen tackle, I see a burned out house on the way to the lake and think - NOW THAT'S REAL LOSS!!!

In case anyone cares again. The rod came in today. Less than 8 days from the time I placed my order to when it was delivered. For something that came from China in the middle of a pandemic that is pretty impressive. The rod feels great in hand and hoping to test it out this weekend.

Awesome new that it delivered pretty fast! Enjoy and share of pictures...always love see what other people catch, especially multi-specie catches:]

The lower lure weight of 1gm translates to 1/28oz. I think casting a 1/200oz would be quite a challenge. I just weighed one of my #10 wet flies and weighed 1/126oz. Just my opinion.

Hi Tom, i'm a little confused at time when i'm reading jig head discussion as of late in regards to it's polarized popularity toward the lightest of weight possible. Am I missing something? Are these very light jigs being thrown mostly out of a boat or bank fishing because for the life of me I can't throw anything less than a regular TroutMagnet size hook or a #7 (1.15 gram) split shot+#18 royal wulf more than 40ft...thank goodness most ponds i fish at have embankments lol.

I'm not sure what those 1/200oz mini magnets are about. I think they are for fly fishing. Maybe some of the guys on this board familiar with trout magnets could shed some light on it. I can cast a 1/32oz jig about 50' and a 1/48oz jig around 30'.I don't even try to cast the 1/64oz. I do fish the 1/64oz and lighter jigs on a weighed fixed float quite frequently. I use 4# Berkley Fireline for all my bluegill, red ear and crappie fishing. Enjoyed our conversation.
