    No need to take offense....I had no way of knowing you have been weighing jig heads for 50 years. I can tell you this...when I buy a jig head out of Japan and it is rated at 1/2 gram...1 gram...2 gram.....that is balls on what it weighs.

    I'm not offended Alphahawk. I prefer to fish a lure that I make with my own hands on a rod l built myself using the latest components available. I don't fish trout magnets but bought some just to play with. I did put one on a Loomis S781 IMX with micro guides I built and spooled with 4# fireline and fluoro leader. I didnt measure the distance but it cast well enough to fish with. The S781 is 78" long and has a ultra light power rating. Can't by these Loomis blanks anymore because Shimano Japanese company won't sell the blanks to custom rod builders. If I get time I might actually measure the exact distance I can throw the 1/32oz trout magnet.
