I hate it when they inhale them. Had a few yesterday - crappies and pans. Dr Bob didn’t do too bad with his trusty forceps and surgery. Everybody looked like they swam away ok.

was my line in that sea of waves
looked at it for a bit i did
wouldnt sink for some odd reason
surely a crappie wouldnt have hit it right when it got wet
maybe just set the hook and see what is actually up right
good thing for him i did ....
might have had to do surgery on that bluegill to get my jig back

Once when crappie fishing with my son I cast a minnow with a split shot under a bobber. When the bobber hit the water it kept on going and I just assumed I broke it. Reeled up and felt a fish fighting and pulled in a little 8” crappie. Strangest thing I ever saw with the bobber entering and continuing under the water in one smooth move.
Surgercally license.....LOL
Keep tension on that thar jig.........
In addition I understand you are well versed in executing surgeon's knots as well......

lately even the bluegill are biting kinda light , i had several take it pretty deep in the mouth the other day when i was after them . only made one bleed when i used the pliers ,but not to worry as i performed surgery on it later ....
the procedure went well and the fillets came off of it nicely , it is unfortunate that the patient did not survive though![]()
