Last Friday, I took (guided) my son Jacob, Uncle Dan, and Dad to my favorite local creek with the promise to catch a bunch of jumbo Green Sunfish. So we left the bass stuff at home (most of it anyway),loaded up the UL gear and a couple of canoes and a kayak and hit the creek. I packed my MC Triple Cross with a 1000 Luvias spooled with 0.3 Unitaka PE. I let everyone try this setup for a little while to see the difference and I think I have some Christmas presents to buy this this year! Luckily I didn’t over promise and the Greenies were willing to cooperate. The four of us caught well over 100 sunfish (green, bluegill, and Longear). My Uncle likes to keep fish, so I let him (ha ha ha) sneak a dozen or so good ones into his cooler. Jacob only crashed and burned once in his new kayak and I was even able to put my non-angler Dad on some good green sunfish. It was a great day!
