Thread: Good day.

Hit Nickajack early this a.m. Once again I was a few days late. There had been another spawn but it was probably full on Saturday. I bed picked today and in 5.5 hours of fishing had around 180 fish......60 quality fish.....shell cracker from 9-10.5 inches.....Gills and redbreast 8-8.5 inches. Had a ton of 7 inch fish which made for a great day fishing the Palms Egeria XUL rod with the Ballistic FW 1000 spooled with the Night Game PE .2. Lure was a Sow Bug colored Trout Magnet on a Daiwa Gekkabijin 1.5 gram #8 jig head. In all likelihood my last trip up in the lake for next few months. With water temps at 75 degrees the grass/moss gets bad real quick in there. Using light line just doesn’t cut it in all that grass. Thinking of hitting the tailrace in the morning. Life is good!
